At Mindful Movement we believe in the power of community. Our mission is to bring Pilates and other mindful, safe and challenging fitness programs at an affordable price to Port Jefferson and the surrounding communities.

Our studio is fully equipped with Balanced Body Pilates equipment, TRX, ballet barre and several props to keep your body and mind invigorated.  Our focus is to educate you on how to move and connect with your body safely. Whether you are looking to exercise for fitness, health, post rehabilitation or improve athleticism we will be your partner and work with you to achieve your fitness and wellness goals.

Tina Bibars

Instructor & Founder

Tina brings 20+ years of teaching experience in the health and fitness industry. After witnessing the benefits of Pilates as a student, she became certified through both Polestar Pilates and Balanced Body University.

Complimentary to Pilates, Tina also is a personal trainer, TRX instructor, group fitness instructor, Barre instructor and meditation leader. She utilizes various forms of mindful movement to create programs that are fun, functional and safe. Tina empowers her clients to achieve their highest potential and enables them to live happier, more active lives.

Whether she’s working with clients to enhance athleticism, functionality, to reduce chronic pain or facilitate post-rehab, Tina’s greatest joy is witnessing the positive changes that take place both physically and mentally. Her eagerness to continually expand upon her knowledge drives her to attend several workshops and conferences throughout the year. “The day you stop learning is the day you stop living,” she says.

Tina is a 30-year resident of Port Jefferson where she raised two beautiful children. She holds a BA in Sociology and Women’s Studies from Stony Brook University.

Courtney Kilroy

Instructor & Founder

Courtney’s passion for dance began at the age of 3. Having studied jazz, tap, ballet and modern dance, she traveled the country as a competitive dancer and became an award-winning jazz soloist. She is Pilates-certified in Reformer and Mat through Balanced Body University.

After suffering a knee injury, Courtney attended her first Pilates Reformer class and was instantly hooked. “Before long I noticed my body becoming leaner,” she says, “and the movements felt natural to me, with no strain on my joints.” This strong belief in the health benefits of Pilates led Courtney to become a certified instructor and, along with Tina, to open Movement Pilates in Port Jefferson.

Courtney is a married mom of two beautiful boys and three really cute dogs. She holds a BA in Sociology from Quinnipiac University.
